Maintenance of garden furniture

BEECH WOOD
Garden furniture made from high quality beech wood is coated with three layers of special lacquer paint. Beech wood is recommended for outdoor use, winter gardens, balconies and terraces. Beech wood furniture shouldn’t be exposed to bad weather conditions in open spaces, and it’s recommended to protect it from moisture, dust and dirt. In the case the furniture gets soaked, it should be wiped and dried right away. Like all natural materials, beech is sensitive to weather conditions. In the case of damage to the lacquered surface, it’s necessary to cut the damaged part off with abrasive paper and coat with a lacquer. That way cracking of the wood is prevented. It is not recommended to use strong cleaning products, but only gentle ones that need to be thoroughly rinsed with water and followed by polishing the furniture with wood cream or flaxseed/teak oil (sold by any well equipped paint and varnish store). Due to its exceptional density it is recommended to coat at the end of the season. It is also important to remove any excess grease from the furniture. In the winter time, furniture should be kept in a dry and non heated space.

ACACIA
Wood, being a natural material, reacts to moisture, so there is a possibility of cracks appearing, which disappear when wood moisture rises and they do not affect the quality and stability of the product. Long- term use of acacia is easier to achieve if garden sets are not exposed to winter conditions to preserve color and finishing. We recommend a flaxseed or teak oil coating (sold by any well equipped paint and varnish store) at the end of the season due to its exceptional density. At the time of next use of the furniture, first soak up any oil remains with an absorbent cloth.

TEAK
Extremely high quality wood that is excellent with moisture, heat and cold, so it is very suitable for gardens and terraces. Teak garden sets are not necessary to be coated with protective agents, moreover, it is not advisable to paint teak due to the change in the characteristic color that makes the wood attractive. After a long period of exposure to open-air teak takes on the silver color that it retains for years.

KERUING
At the end of the season, we suggest that furniture be covered with flaxseed or teak oil (sold by any well equipped paint and varnish store ), and before using the set again, remove the oil remains with a good absorbent cloth.
